Understandably, many people get caught up in all the madness that comes in March. We hope your brackets didn’t get too busted up. But whether your focus was on basketball or on driving your business success, you may have missed a few of our blogs and resources this month. DetermiNews is here to make it easy for you to get up to speed.
Procurement maturity bookended the month, with a summary of Kelly Barner’s blog series and the subsequent ebook launch. It is an important topic that we are going to keep on exploring at all levels in the months ahead. As “agility” and “digital transformation” continue to be high-level topics in our industry, we also want to focus on more day-to-day things that procurement and all business functions can do to improve processes. Doesn’t always have to be about shooting for pie-in-the-sky major transitions, at least not all at once.
Improvement is also about making good “little decisions” – something everyone can get their heads around. Julien Nadaud, Determine’s Chief Product Officer got into that a bit in his two-part series about supplier influence. The topic of iterative changes also came up in our demo webinar, 5 Ways a Source-to-Pay Platform Helps Create More Value for Your Organization. Importantly, continuous clear communication and collaboration are critical at every level. Open the channels, open the possibilities. In other words, don’t hog the ball.
