I am honored and proud to take the reigns as president and CEO of the company. A lot has happened. One thing for sure: our business is coming together.
Over the past year, we executed on a strategy to acquire IASTA (spend analysis, eSourcing & supplier management provider) and soon b-pack (procurement software & procure to pay technology) will close. This will enable our customers access to a complete suite of best-in-class, source-to-pay solutions. Now, we can deliver the highest quality and most innovative enterprise-wide Supply Management (SM), Enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management (ECLM) solutions, and Procure-to-Pay applications.
To achieve the next level of our goal, we will drive process, performance and success. Today, Selectica has offices worldwide (three in the U.S.), and all departments are aligned to work together. We are poised to build quality products and deliver best-in-class solutions. We will keep Selectica financially strong, so we are in a better position to serve our customers.
I’ve been in the industry for well over two decades, and look forward to leveraging that experience for our company’s future in enterprise technology solutions. On a personal level, for me there are three simple tenets. They will also be the guiding principles for all of Selectica.
The first tenet is quality. It’s important that Selectica have a culture where each team member leaves work at the end of the day knowing they gave it their all. Our mission is to support current and future customer needs – from sourcing to contracting to payment – and that means delivering solutions that are not only useful and effective out of the box for each customer, but also configurable and scalable for unique enterprises. Our customers are the first priority; we will always listen and ask questions to truly understand their needs. Our goal is to help businesses work better – to reduce risk, increase compliance, and maximize efficiency across the enterprise. To do that, we are fully committed to extremely high quality standards set by you, our customer.
The second tenet is innovation. We exist to develop and deliver leading technology to support the marketplace. Our technology team is the best in the industry, and they’re determined to create and deliver new and innovative solutions. Our customer pain points drive our innovative thinking. We will seize every opportunity to exceed market expectations in order to deliver new solutions to customer problems.
I am proud that Selectica was named a visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Strategic Sourcing Application Suites this year, and b-pack was also named a Visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Procure-to-Pay Suites for Indirect Procurement. You can bet we’re working to keep that title and move up by continually looking ahead to where the industry is moving.
My third tenet is integrity. That means we tell the truth, only make promises on what we can deliver. We will not make promises we cannot keep, because we believe honesty demonstrates respect for our customers. If there’s something our customers need that we can’t deliver now, we’ll work on it every day until we can get it to them. It’s about you, the customer, and how we’re going to better serve you in the coming years.
